Family Movies and Shows Arriving on Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime has added two favourites of ours, Shrek and Shrek 2, along with Tooth Fairy 2 this season.
Shrek
Once upon a time in a far away swamp, there lived an ornery ogre named Shrek whose precious solitude is suddenly shattered by an invasion of annoying fairy-tale characters. There are blind mice in his food, a big, bad wolf in his bed, three little homeless pigs and more, all banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad.

Shrek 2
Happily ever after never seemed so far far away when a trip to meet the in-laws turns into another hilariously twisted adventure for Shrek and Fiona. With the help of his faithful steed Donkey, Shrek takes on a potion-brewing Fairy Godmother, the pompous Prince Charming, and the famed ogre-killer, Puss In Boots, a ferocious feline foe who’s really just a pussycat at heart!

Tooth Fairy 2
When dreamer Larry Guthrie (Larry the Cable Guy) loses his first love to the town hot shot, he decides to win her back by volunteering with the local children at her after-school program. But when Larry accidentally tells the kids the tooth fairy is make-believe, he is soon transformed into a tutu clad fairy with a sentence of collecting teeth.

Upcoming Family Shows on Disney+
Star Wars features this season on Disney+ with the arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi and LEGO All Stars Star Wars; other picks include Goodbye Christopher Robin and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
The big premiere this season is Obi-Wan Kenobi with Ewan McGregor returning as Obi-Wan, having played the role in Star Wars Episodes One, Two and Three: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The new series kicks off 10 years after the dramatic events of Revenge of the Sith when Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) became Vader after being left for dead by Obi-Wan, who was once his Jedi Master.
Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers
Chip and Dale are living amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles, but their lives are quite different now. It has been decades since their successful television series was canceled, and Chip has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman. Dale, meanwhile, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When a former castmate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.
Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride
Victor (voiced by Johnny Depp) and Victoria’s (Emily Watson) families have arranged their marriage. Though they like each other, Victor is nervous about the ceremony. While he’s in a forest practicing his lines for the wedding, a tree branch becomes a hand that drags him to the land of the dead. It belongs to Emily, who was murdered after eloping with her love and wants to marry Victor. Victor must get back aboveground before Victoria marries the villainous Barkis Bittern (played by Richard E. Grant).
Common Sense Media suggests 10+.
Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Season 2
The animated series Alice’s Wonderland Bakery is back for a second season centered on Alice, the great-granddaughter of the original heroine and a budding young baker at the enchanted Wonderland Bakery, where her magical treats help bring a new generation of friends and families together.
Puppy Dog Pals
Season 5 of Puppy Dog Pals comes out. Puppy brothers Bingo and Rolly like to be around Bob, their owner, and help him do various activities. While he is away, they travel across the neighbourhood and complete exciting missions.
Goodbye Christopher Robin
After leaving London for the English countryside, writer A.A. Milne starts to spin fanciful yarns about his son’s growing collection of stuffed animals. These stories form the basis for “Winnie-the-Pooh” and “The House at Pooh Corner,” published respectively in 1926 and 1928. Milne and his family soon become swept up in the instant success of the books, while the enchanting tales bring hope and comfort to the rest of postwar England.
Lego Star Wars All-Stars
LEGO versions of characters from across the “Star Wars” universe, including Lando, Han, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, R2-D2, BB-8, Roger the battle droid, Graballa the Hutt and Gen. Leia Organa, are involved in some familiar scenarios and new adventures.
