This quick and easy hummus recipe makes enough for 4 to 6 people as a tasty lunchtime snack served with carrots, celery and pitta bread. It also keeps for about 4 days in the fridge in a sealed container.

Homemade Hummus is nutritious and delicious and can make the perfect lunchbox treat for your little ones or an after school snack to keep them going until dinner time.
Ingredients
- 2 tins of chickpeas
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 dessert spoons Tahini paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Method
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix using a hand blender. If the mixture needs thinning use a little water.
Serve with pitta bread, carrot and celery sticks or why not make homemade breadsticks.
